And the world keeps on turning and the Potheads keep om smoking, to fill the governments' coffers with the dreaded taxes that they need to keep the country running and the people happy. Have the governments, whether it be federal, provincial, civic or municipal, ever told the good people of Canada of how much tax revenue is generated through the growing and selling of Marijuana? I personally have never heard of them saying anything, so, if no-one else wants to tell you, I guess it may as well be me.

Let's start at the beginning. In order to grow marijuana, one must first make sure, that you have all the right ingredients needed. Outdoors, you have to buy nutrients, such as fertilizer, peat moss, etc.. For inside grow operations, you must do the same. Only, now you have to buy lights, fans, plant pots and a mess of other things. They also need water and electricity which they purchase. When people purchase all of the previous, they pay taxes ( GST @ PST ).

After marijuana has grown and is ready for distribution, it must be transported to various destinations. Thus, more revenue is generated for the governments. Vehicles, of all sorts, need fuel of some kind, and, that is, as most of us know, a major source of tax revenue.

I'm not going to go into all the details of the distribution process, but in the end, everyone that comes in contact and uses marijuana, contributes to government taxes. Even, the average citizen that smokes it. When people get HIGH, we get what is called the MUNCHIES. And, when we get the munchies, we go and get what we need, whether it be pizza, pop, etc.. Again, money gets spent and the tax machine takes it in.

Where does all this money go? Who benefits from this money, that is in actuality the proceeds.-of crime and against the law.
